This question was asked recently: What is an inbound lead?
Well, the answer is pretty simple.
An inbound lead is any lead that you don’t have to work to get. It’s a lead that… Well, that’s not necessarily true. An inbound lead is a lead that you don’t have to go out to find, more accurately. So an inbound lead is someone that finds your website, finds your phone number, and finds your listing on the Yellow Pages, for those of you who are old enough to remember what the Yellow Pages are like I am. But they but an inbound lead is somebody who reaches out to you directly.
Now, defining an inbound lead is an easy thing. Figuring out how to get inbound leads is a whole different story. Because oftentimes it has to do with search. It has to do with paid advertising, it has to do with social media marketing, it has to do with all different sorts of things.
Oftentimes when the question comes up, “What are inbound leads?” They’re really asking, “How do I get inbound leads?” We’re going to talk about that in some other videos.
But to answer the question, an inbound lead is anybody that comes to you to ask to do business.
